If innovation and connectivity are two common words for you at work, you probably know that February is the month of the Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC24) and its startup side event 4YFN 2024 (4YFN24). A date that at NGI Sargasso we couldn’t miss: not only are we attending it next week in Barcelona, but we are also organizing our own panel “NGI Sargasso: Equity-free funding for your Next Generation Internet idea”, to which we invite you to register now.
If you want to discover how to get up to €100,000 equity-free funding to unleash the Future of the Internet, join us:
- Tuesday February 27, from 15:00h to 15:45h.
- Pavilion 8.1, Stand 8.1 B55 – 4YFN.
Monique Calisti, the NGI initiative Outreach Office Director from Martel Innovate, will open the session to inspire you sharing new opportunities in the NGI ecosystem, opening doors for future synergies. Teresa Barber Aparici, Innovation Project Manager from our partner Mobile World Capital Barcelona, and Virginia Gómez Oñate, Head of EU Projects at our other partner Sploro, will speak about the NGI Sargasso funding program, including our open call requirements and OnCampus perks for the selected beneficiaries.
Since there isn’t panel without a proper discussion, three of our innovators from our first open call will talk about their projects developed under the NGI Sargasso program. They are Julien Bringer (D3ICA), Lluís Alfons Ariño (EBSI-CAN) and Jordi Mongay Batalla(EvORAN).
We really hope to see you there, that’s why we kindly invite you to REGISTER HERE!
Oh, and if we haven’t convinced you enough, you can also spot us at the Mobile World Capital Barcelona at 4YFN agenda on the 27th of February, and read what 4YFN says about how we are fostering EU-US/Canada tech innovation.
The NGI Sargasso Brokerage System
At our 4YFN24 panel next week, we will explain to you how NGI Sargasso can help you find your Transatlantic counterpart with our Brokerage System to be able to apply for our open calls to get up to €100,000 equity-free funding.
We do this because we are a unique collaborative ecosystem and program for promoting the Transatlantic cooperation for NGI technologies, which means that we only accept joint applications by teams formed by one entity from Europe and one entity from the US or Canada. We wrote three articles so you can understand this better:
- Transatlantic Matchmaking: Why you Need a Partner across the Atlantic to Develop your Next Generation Internet Idea.
- Startups, SMEs, Researchers and NGOs and Foundations Can Get up to €100,000 for their Future Internet Ideas.
- How NGI Sargasso is Fostering EU-US/Canada Tech Innovation with €4.8M Funding.
The NGI Sargasso Inspirational Talks
In our December 2023 News Wave, we advanced to you that Mirko Boehm, Community Developer at Linux Foundation Europe, shared with our first open call beneficiaries an inspirational talk as part of the perks of our funding program, to discuss about how they work as a host for Transatlantic open source projects.
The highlights of his talk are gathered in the last article of our today’s newsletter, that we hope you enjoy it!
That is all for our fourth wave of NGI Sargasso news, to which we invite you to subscribe here.
