OPEN CALL 1
Asset Profile Standards for Interoperable Decentralised Ecosystems
Project description
APSIDE is an ambitious collaborative project between Compellio and MIT that aims to pave the grounds for the international standardisation of asset profiling and interoperability across DLTs and between traditional IT systems and blockchains.
Democratizing Decentralized Digital Identity through Cloud agents
Project description
Average user considers decentralised systems abstract and complex due to the concepts involved. D3ICA wants to democratise the use of digital credentials which ultimately give the “power” back to individuals by focusing on diversity, inclusion, usability and interoperability from the get-go.
Decentralized Digital Identity Profile
Project description
Interoperability is a must, but that requires a set of common specifications and standards that can be tested with a comprehensive automated conformance test platform.
EBSI and Verifiable Credentialing in Canada.
Project description
EBSI-CAN explores the potential for EBSI to be deployed as a verifiable, cross-border credentialing framework in Canada, levering on use-cases for cross-issuance, cross-verification, cross-recognition to identify issues related to the governance, legal, technical, and business landscape in Canada.
Evaluation of Open RAN network equipment including underlying
Project description
EvORAN project will build the first opensource testing tools for time-fixed cybersecurity evaluation in O-RAN 5G/6G networks, cementing a baseline of security assurance common to all stakeholders: O-RAN providers, Network Operators, Regulators and Governments.
Interoperable decentralized identity and wallet infrastructure
Project description
This project will enable holistic interoperability (tech, semantic, legal, governance) between different decentralized ID technologies & ecosystems with a focus on EU & Canada. The results will be open source libraries & contributions to alignment on standards, semantics, legal & governance topics.
A Secure Underlay for the Internet
Project description
Inter-domain routing vulnerabilities are often exploited by adversaries to compromise the security of critical Internet applications. To this end, Secure Backbone AS (SBAS) aims to
provide secure routing to BGP-Internet users by deploying a virtual Autonomous System (AS) over the SCION network.
Secure Named Data Sharing
Project description
The SNDS project will extend the NDN architecture to enable flexible, secure, and privacy preserving data sharing, by adding APIs that implement query-based content retrieval for clients and fine-grained content storage and update operations for content producers, turning NDN to a CDN underlay.
OPEN CALL 2
Decentralized Electronic Signature using Blockchain based Digital Identity
Project description
The DES project seeks to create a groundbreaking decentralized electronic signature system using blockchain technology. Integrated with Gov-Smart, it will enable citizens to generate secure digital signatures, verified and authenticated through a robust blockchain framework.
Develop and demonstrate a Digital Product Passport for Carbon-Reduced Concrete emphasising Cross-Atlantic Legislation and Governance.
Project description
The project utilises SSI technologies and Zero-Knowledge Proofs to create process compliant Digital Product Passports in line with the EU Green Deal. It targets Europe’s growing carbon-reduced concrete market with the goal to collect and present verified, tamper-proof data along the production chain.
Next-Gen Safeguard: Detection and Recovery from Ransomware for Attacks to Data in Motion
Project description
The GUARDIAN project will develop a toolkit for detecting and recovering from ransomware attacks on data in motion. It will use advanced technologies like AI and application virtualization to counter evolving cyber threats. The toolkit will be tested in a dedicated testbed simulating these attacks.
Hybrid Post-Quantum Cryptography Self-Sovereign Identity Stack
Project description
HPQCSSI will develop a hybrid cryptographic quantum secure self-sovereign identity stack with a focus on bridging the EU and US identity gateways for the human-
centric future. The project will improve existing open-source self-sovereign identity (SSI) tools by hardening them against quantum attacks through parallel use of classical and quantum-resistant cryptography.
Large Language Models as Defensive Honeypots
Project description
To research, develop, and apply LLMs to generate honeypots designed to deceive human attackers. They aim to increase variance in response types, improve technical detail, and precisely replicate different target systems. We expect the LLM’s generated output to be more effective at luring or confounding attackers into perceiving honeypots as genuine production systems.
Rosetta Stone for API
Project description
Within EU Data Spaces, in American agriculture and through the Indian Stack, there is fast growing demand for interoperability based on the same global technical standards. In these 3 continents, there is explicit demand for a Rosetta Stone for APIs, as organizations need to make their existing APIs interoperable with their partners.
Sustainable & Interoperable Digital Identity
Project description
“SIDI is a collaborative platform involving over 15 organizations from EU, US and Canada. It aims to bridge national digital identity schemes by identifying champion
use cases for cross-border interoperability and by mapping trust frameworks. By building cross-border interoperability for digital identity, the project seeks to accelerate operationalization of digital trust services.
Decentralized Digital Sovereign Identity and Voting System using Blockchain Technology
Project description
Challenging the traditional concept that democracy is limited to voting every four years, our Trustless Democracy project employs cutting-edge blockchain technology
and zero-knowledge proofs to facilitate continuous, cost-free electoral participation.
AI-Driven Interview Analysis for Precision Hiring
Project description
VeriRecruit uses a human-centric approach to hiring excellence. Harnessing AI for precise analysis, validation, and improving the selection process, they unveil authentic talent, foster trust, and elevate recruitment experiences for a future-ready workforce. Redefining interviews, shaping careers.
