Project Overview
FVCP aimed to build a framework for interoperable verifiable credentials across decentralized identity (DID) ecosystems. The project enables verifiers to validate credentials issued in one jurisdiction or domain within another, using a trust registry, conversion framework, and enriched metadata to assess legitimacy while preserving security and privacy.
Methods and approaches
Cross-Domain Use Case
Credential issuance, transfer, and validation across unlinked ecosystems
Trust Registry Integration
Helps verifiers retrieve issuer metadata
Credential Conversion
Translates credentials (e.g., ZKP to SD-JWT) between ecosystems
Prototype Gateway
Developed with core components (backend, frontend, libraries)
Marel.app Integration
For end-user credential management
User Research
Stakeholder interviews and surveys
Compliance Study
Compared EU and US privacy/security alignment
