Project Overview
The EVI US project addresses the challenge of privacy-preserving user authentication in electric vehicle (EV) charging. It introduces a decentralized identity framework allowing drivers to authenticate charging sessions without exposing personal information.
Certificates are issued and stored in EVs or wallets, enabling automatic authorization at charging stations. The system was tested with ISO 15118-compatible infrastructure in New York, ensuring user privacy and compliance with ESSIF standards.
